The Larson family is traveling from Michigan to Florida with an average 60mph. Write an equation for a rule that you can use to calculate the distance they traveled for any given number of hours.


One equation that will calculate how far the Larson family went in any amount of hours is D=60H.

2.) What are the advantages of a table, graph, and an equation?

The advantages of a table is that you can find the precise numbers. You could also find the biggest and smallest change very easily by writing the changes between intervals. With an equation, you could make a table very fast since equations gives you a formula that can find data for a table by giving you a rule.The advantages of a graph is that you can find the path or rate of change. You could do this by checking for a slop which is straight, and also if it is curved which means the rate of change slows down.

The thing from investigation 4 that I learned is equations. You could use an equation to calculate unknown number, fill in a table if the table has an exact rule, and more…
